Work in progress

It was a another stunning autum day here and so Walter was able to lay a few more pavers, it's a very slow process as he has to wheelbarrow them down the steps before anything else can happen.

I'm sure it will look great once it's finished and the arbor, table and chairs etc., are in place. Not that we sit out in the front garden, we have a lovely back porch, where we spend a good deal of our time, having cuppa's and chatting to friends.

Have just been talking with Vicki, Ezra's grandmother, and he is doing quite well, will probably be home tommorow. He was born in Port Lincoln, a bit over 2 hours away, as there are no facilities for babies to be born in Wudinna, where they live.
Grandma is minding Phoenix, aged 2 1/2, and he is a very full on boy, who was up a 5am this morning, so as soon as he goes to bed tonight, grandma is going too.

Vicki does not keep the best health, and the situation was made worse about 4 years ago when she fell out of the wheat truck and was unconscious on the road for some time. Among other things this caused her to loose her sense of taste and smell, imagine not being able to smell all the delicious things we cook, or the scents that evoke such wonderful memories, and she has trouble with her short term memory.

More seriously she injured her neck and back. She can no longer sit at the computer(she used to teach computer workshops) for more than a few minutes, and that is why she hasn't been able to continue with "Foster's Farm".

A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no-one can take.

Hi Jacqui ~~ Your garden looks nice and the pavers are starting to get laid.
That is a big job ~ poor Walter !!
Glad the new arrival is doing well, and
hope that Vicki doesn't get too tired with Phoenix. He will be happy to have a playmate. Take care, Merle.

Hi Jacqui, I don't know how I missed putting a counter on your site, mistake rectified, I started the count at 500, no idea how accurate that is but it seemed fairer than starting at zero, while there I adjusted your profile a little.

I don't need three guesses to figure out who the anonymous comments are from, hi marcus.

Hi Jacqui ~~ How did you ever guess who
Anonymous was. Hi Marcus.

My kids are pretty are scattered also, but no doubt they will ring and send cards. I find it sad at Mother's Day to
know my mother is no longer with us also. Thanks for the info on the photo of the kids. Cheers, Merle.
