Two really Fantastic things happened in the early hours of the morning
THE TWO TRAPPED MINERS IN TASMANIA ARE FREE.
and I HAVE A NEW GREAT GRANDSON. Ezra Storm Foster.
Have just watched the television coverage of the miners rescue, for those who didn't know they were trapped by a rock fall caused by an earth tremor 14 days ago, it took 5 days to make contact with them, and the next 9 days to drill through to them. They were in remarkable condition and actually walked out of the lift that had bought them up the 1 kilometre to the surface. The joy has to be tempered with the funeral, this afternoon, of one of their collegues who was killed in the rock fall.
We Australians pride ourselves on our "mateship", and this rescue was mateship of the highest order, the rescuers risking their lives daily. The rock was so hard in places that they had to use low level explosives, what courage they showed in such a dangerous situation, and we all need to give thanks to God that everything worked out as it did.
I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do.o

I am joyful about both occasions.
I've been watching the coverage of the miners as they walked out under their own power to be greeted by their families. I'm sorry about the 3rd who didn't make it but many mining disasters are much worse.

Congratulations a new Great grandson Ezra Storm .I also watched the miners come to the top and walk out under their own steam so sad for the family who's son was killed .
