Infiltration and home again

Hi everyone, Jacqui here, thought I had better reclaim my site, after it's infiltration, not that I minded. I was going to post a photo of Peter's bear, I must say in a more comfortable and congenial spot than where Peter put him. He, Peter that is, has teased me for years about my bears, so I thought it only fitting that he have one of his own.

A couple of years ago, while Walter and I were away, Peter and his good friend Warren, came across here to WA, they were to come down to Bridgetown and stay overnight. They had this feindish plan, and were going to shift all my bears and put them in strange places doing strange things. Well they chickened out, and now they are sorry that they didn't carry out their plan, which is just as well.

We had a good trip to Perth, and managed to get most things done that we set out to do. I have a new outlet for my bears, I went to the craft fair and really enjoyed it, lots of good ideas, just need the time now to put some of them into practice.

A good portion of my time over the last months was taken up with Peter's scrapbook, from the way it was received it was certainly worth it. I really love doing things like that, I make all the family birthday cards / scrap books. Did a "40 things we love about Jane" card/book, for my youngest daughter-in-law's birthday on the 29th. She really loved it, that was another thing we did over the weekend, went to a surprise party for her, and she was totally surprised, my son Bruce and Adam had managed to keep the whole thing secret.

The Audiologist was unable to give me new hearing aids, unlessI am prepared to pay the $2750 for them. He is fixing my old one that was broken, and has adjusted them, so I will just see how it goes over the next lttle while. They whistle at the least thing, even when my hair falls over them, so it's off to the hairdressers before they drive me crazy. I have Tintinus as well and that means I have ringing in my ears the whole time, sometimes so loud I'm sure other people must be able to hear it too. That's enough grumbling.

Just one mishap, while we were in Perth. Alan, my oldest son needed to be taken to the airport on the friday night, for an 11.30 flight, to Brisbane, for Peter's birthday. We went in his lovely new car, he's only had it a bit over two weeks. He always backs the car into his carport, but after we had dropped him off and got back to his driveway, I suggested to Walter that he just drive the car in. " I'm capable of backing in," was the response I got. Well they have this brick letterbox on the edge of the driveway, and yes, you guessed it, Walter scraped the side of it on his way back. I was mortified about Alan's new car, but he is fairly laid back, and just shrugged it off, saying it can be fixed.

Hi Jacqui ~~ Nice to see you back.
What a shame about Alan's car. Never
mind Walter ~~ you meant well, these things happen. I hope Jane had a good birthday and she would with the surprise party. Well done Bruce. Love, Merle.

Hi Jacqui

Shame about the car. Backing in isn't as easy as one might think.

Hi Jacqui... I really admire people who can do 'crafty' things like scrap-booking and making lovely things like your bears. I do not have any talents in that area. I made a picture montage for my daughters 30th birthday, in a big frame with lots of pictures taken over time - it took me about 3 weeks to line it all up - and then the glass broke in transit down to Adelaide - I obviously didn't package it properly!

Hi Jacqui, I don't think I have thanked you personally for the great scrapbook and for "Banjo"
(or maybe I have? and can't remember!!!) anyway, thank you.
Glad to hear that Jane's birthday surprise went well, it's a pity we can't fit in all the things we would like to, then I could have been there too.
