Hooray, the kitchen is finished, well except for the new cupboard handles, which my eldest son, is picking up and bringing down on Saturday.
We live a bit over 3 hours drive south of Perth ( the capital of Western Australia), it's close enough for the children to get down for the weekend. One of my other sons, Marcus lives about an hour away, so they will be over as well.
I love it when any of the family can come to visit, there's always plenty of fun and laughter, everyone gets on so well. Because they are so scattered it's not often, in fact it's over 10 years since we were all together in the one place.
We have a tradition, when they are here, one lunchtime, I cook pancakes and keep on cooking until no-one can eat any more, the kids love it, especially the big ones.
Our Easter road toll has started off very badly with 3 young men being killed last night when their car hit a tree. Seems speed was the cause. Young people just seem to think they are invincible, and nothing is going to happen to them, but sadly, all to often it does.
That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet.

We have too many of our younguns who think the same thing with tragic results.
I do pancakes often on Saturday morning for brunch. Just stand and flip. I have an electric griddgle though that will make 8 at a time (a little small but that works out better for the girls)

We will have our whole bunch also- My 3 kids (two spouses) and 4 grandkids! It's also my Brian's birthday! He'll be 21! He's my middle grandson.
