On the way home on Monday we passed the aftermath of a fatal accident, a cyclist hit by a semi, it was a very sad sight. The chances of something like that happening on that long, long road, with the relatively small amount of traffic, would be very small, I guess it was a case of his being "in the wrong place at the wrong time."

It was a beautiful autumn day here today, this is without doubt my favourite time of the year, the vitis (ornamental grape) is beginning to turn, and some of the other trees.

With a bit of luck I shall have two autumns again this year as Walter is making plans for us to go to Germany in September, which of course means we will have to go the the USA as well, how wonderful!
