I love roses, and after seeing Junies, I decided to post these. I have about 40 growing in the garden, I don't have pictures of them all, and of course these were taken in the summer, not much to see now.
Went over to Busselton, yesterday to see Zac, he is home from England, he returns next Monday, he has grown into a splendid young man, and I am so proud of the work he is doing. Stayed for dinner, so late home and no blogging last night. Watched Marcus play football in the afternoon, he was one of the youngest at 45, one of the umpires is 70, you can't say we don't love our national game here. Some of us had good results from our teams, it's been a strange season so far.
We had a great visit with our friends, it is their 50th wedding anniversary in July so it will be our turn to visit them at "Muddlethro' Farm", they run cattle these days, it is a couple of years since we were there last.

A Joke my daughter-in-law sent me.
A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors, down a highway, when he is tapped on the shoulder by a little old lady. She offered him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munched up.
After about 15 minutes, she tapped him on the shoulder again and hands him another handful of peanuts. She repeats this gesture 5 more times. When she is about to hand him a batch of peanuts he asks "why don't you eat the peanuts yourself?"
"We can't chew them because we've no teeth" she replied. The puzzled driver asks "why did you buy them?"
The old lady replied "We just love the chocolate around them".

Too bad that all the people who really know how to run the country are too busy driving cabs and cutting hair.

Beautiful roses and I like that joke.
We're commenting at about the same time.
Thanks for what you said on granny. I'm not going anywhere, God willing.
Jacqui,
Beautiful roses! I don't believe I have any of those that you pictured!
Last year I had over 100 bushes but some have died from neglect! I've just tried to do too much- so I need to just concerate on what I have left!

Hi Jacqui, was it the 70 YO umpire that didn't pay Marcus that mark?
DIL does supply a lot of funny material at times, SIL on occasion too.
Hi Jacqui ~~ Lovely roses, especially the first one (4th of July). These are all new to me. My favourite is Double Delight. Glad you got to see Zac.
Thanks for your nice words on my blog.
Good joke. Yuk. Cheers, Merle.
