Bear Tales

Have been busy making a special bear today, a camouflage one. One of many that I have made for a customer, an ex SAS soldier.

The first one was given to him by a very good friend when he was going through a rough patch.

He really loves that bear, and it goes everywhere with him, even getting strapped onto the motor bike.

In fact ted bearly made it when he had a fairly serious accident on the bike.He arrived back here at the Teddy bear hospital for some fairly serious surgery, like a missing eye,and some bad lacerations which required a fur graft or two.

Fortunately the surgery was a success, and after some R & R when he got home, i'm pleased to say ted made a complete recovery.

Since then whenever a friend is a bit down or a new baby arrives, I get a call for another camouflage bear. They get beartags, and field binnoculars or some other peice of military paraphernalia.

I really love making bears, and when I know that they are going somewhere that they are loved it gives me added pleasure.

There will be other bear stories along the way, if you can bear it.

"Why not?" is a slogan for an interesting life.

Hi Jacqui ~~ You are doing well with
posting, so I hope you are enjoying it.
Nice bear story!! Thanks for comments and also the Chalk Drawings. They are
amazing. Jan Davies had already sent them to me.
I have collected bits and pieces for years and some of them are proving popular. Cheers, Merle.
